PGA Championship Appoints New Director Ahead of Major Event
Jackie Endsley has been appointed as the director of the PGA Championship, set to take place in May at Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square. With nine years of experience at the PGA and a proven track record as director for six major championships, including the 2020 KPMG Women's PGA Championship at the same venue, Endsley is well-equipped for this role.
Her appointment follows Ryan Ogle's announcement of his resignation from the tournament director position after a year and a half. David Charles, senior director of championships for the PGA of America, expressed enthusiasm for Endsley's leadership, highlighting her extensive experience and familiarity with Aronimink as key assets for the upcoming championship.
The 108th PGA Championship will take place from May 14-17 and marks the first major men's PGA Championship in the region since the 2013 U.S. Open at Merion Golf Club. Endsley emphasized her commitment to delivering an exceptional experience for players and spectators alike as preparations intensify.
